Layers & Textures

Life is truly a funny thing! We find that with each turn there is a more interesting challenge than the last one. As we grow we find that every single thing both good and bad helped mold us into the person we are today. Your life, just like mine is a combination of layers that define your personality. Each layer has unique textures and patterns that cultivate a life specifically tailored for you. Embrace those differences and allow them to shine and stand out.

I love snow globes with their exciting stories and hope for something magical each time you turn it upside down.... Oh my goodness! They are one of my favorite things!!! A snow globe has many layers and if you look carefully you will see a special story unfold. Our life is similar that way, if you look at each individual situation it may seem impossible to find magic... Be patient, It's there... I promise your life is full of remarkable twist and turns that each become a beautiful picture of grace.

As an introvert, I slowly reveal my layers to people around me, it sometimes takes a little more time for me to be comfortable. Being slow can make me seem complicated or intimidating. In becoming a Pastors Wife, I found that no matter how ineffective I may feel, I can be confident to implement change. The way I do that is through kindness and giving myself permission to be imperfect. I can show my layers, yes, even the flawed ones and use tiny pieces of my tattered story to inspire those in my path. Change comes in many different ways, it doesn't always mean making decisions based on a position of power.... We all hold the power to change someones day by simply exercising kindness.

I have learned with people and relationships, it's much like a well designed ensemble... Each piece revealing a splash of texture which adds just enough flair to showcase your individuality. Be free to be you, don't shy away from the person you are destined to become. Doing so will strip you of your happiness and self confidence. Be proud of yourself, be brave and courageous to step out into the world and share your glamour, your elegance, your air of mystery.

Now, go do what you were born to do.
