Delightful

Have you ever just felt sorry for yourself? You get in a rut and think... How did I get here?

Then you realize all your overthinking and overanalyzing is what put you in this rut.

Sometimes we have to just stop thinking! We weren't created to be miserable or feel inadequate over and over. God will equip you for the things he has called you to do. Don't get so caught up in what everyone else is doing.... What I mean is, don't let what you see other people doing on Social Media distract you from your purpose. This is for all my fellow girlfriends who are in a constant identity crisis (Insecure party of 1 over here) Social Media in all of it's wonder can be a stumbling block if you allow the highlight reels of your followers to discourage you from your own calling. I am personally guilty of feeling so inapt and ill qualified because I'm not as savvy with the gram as the next girl.

I have allowed my own insecurities to prevent me from moving forward in my calling or purpose. You know those big, life changing, God ordained, random preacher giving you 3 words that make you fall in the floor and ugly cry moments! I am holding myself back from what I know I should be doing all for fear of not measuring up.

I am meant for more.... One more time with feeling.... I am meant for more.

I can be happy for someone else moving in the same direction as me, no matter how confusing it makes me for now I see, now I understand, I got your number Satan and you hear me loud and clear when I tell you.... Not Today!

When we are faithful in all our works to the Lord, he will be faithful in his promise to us. He gave me a promise, then has repeatedly confirmed it. Every time I start to question myself or feel inadequate, I receive I gentle reminder that he is still here and he still cares. Instagram is one of my biggest distractions because it is there that I have highlight reels of comparison and my own personal "Way to win at life Karen." moments on a daily basis but it is also there that I can share my life and testimony to thousand if I chose to put on my blinders and not allow that spirit of distraction in my day to day.

Psalm 37:4

"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

Delight is a high degree of pleasure... That is a very simple request from the Bible. All we have to do is take great pleasure in our service to the Lord and in return he will shower his blessings on us. I can do that, can you?

My desire is to serve God with all my heart. I desire to share my life with the world in a way that will inspire hope and encourage bravery in other introverts like me. I desire to be more than the girl I was born to be. It doesn't matter what anyone else is doing, that's not my concern and it's certainly not my desire! I want to please the Lord through my own heart not look back and see all the missed opportunities because I was so consumed by someone else's life. See the value that you bring to the table and in the process don't make it impossible for someone else to take a seat as they contribute. Remember, take pleasure in your service to God and he will fulfill his promise to you... That is the big picture!
