Be Kind

Matthew 5:43-44 "You have heard that it was said, you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you."

This has to be one of the hardest battles to overcome between your spirit and your flesh! Treating someone with kindness even though they are unkind to you!

My Mom always said "kill them with kindness." Your blessings will overflow and you will have a peace that far surpasses any understanding when you exercise kindness in and through every situation!

It is imperative that we love people that don't like us if we wish to grow in Christ....

Wow! Yes, I seriously just told you to take that petty part of you that wants to give back exactly what was given to you with a vengeance and toss it out the window. Allow peace to work in your life by letting go of all the bad things raining down and focus on the blessings. It's so easy to allow jealousy to creep in when you see someone else succeeding at the very thing you wish to be doing. It's so easy to get so caught up in disliking them for "living your life" that you derail your own dreams.

Do the hard thing and love them instead! Keep God in the middle of your passions and they will surely succeed. Gossip is our way of disqualifying someone else when in fact we are showing our true character by attempting to tear them down.... and just in case you are wondering, it doesn't make us look better! The point is, spreading ugly just because ugly was given to you doesn't make it ok.

Just be kind! Do good! Be good! Breathe! Smile! Let it go!

My husband recently told me: If you keep a good attitude, God will bless what you're doing regardless of how a situation makes you feel!

Spend less time focussed on what someone is doing and just do what you set out to do!

There are unfortunate times in life when people walk away despite how well you do, how much you sacrifice, how much you love. Continue spreading kindness, much like laughter it is contagious! True colors always shine through, make sure yours are vibrant, classy and true! Everyday I see more and more unrelenting hatred and competition, I certainly do not want to be a part of a growing trend.

Be grateful!

Be graceful!

Be kind!
